exquisite

Although i have completely fallen out of love with India, for one reason and another, I find myself compelled to visit some of the extraordinary places there.  Had i not been so disenchanted by the culture, India would be at the top of my list of places to visit.  It has fallen far below my top number 10 places in the world to see, so if i ever get there, it will be because I've run out of places to explore.  Never the less, despite it's 3rd world characteristics, It holds some of the most beautiful and fascinating vacation spots in the world.  It is still on my bucket list, however i may be 90 before i reach there.  We shall see how the tides turn in the years ahead.
The food is exquisite!!!!!

God is Great! God is Good!

Our dinner prayers always began with that simple statement, and in those words we find absolute truth. God IS Great!  And God IS Good!  Even in the midst of our worst trials and our most challenging  tribulations, He allows us the blessings of  his awesome power.  We feel his great and amazing Spirit of Love to our very core, and even in our suffering He pours His peace into our souls.
Today, I am deeply blessed with the good news of my brothers remarkable recovery from Hepatitis C.  He was given 10 years to live almost 4 years ago.  Today he is glowing with health.  He is manifest of  a true miracle.  He is no longer in need of a transplant.  And whats more, he is determined to start running again.  way back when,  when he was a young high school kid, he was one of the cocky "foxy" trio,  The Benson High School track stars.  Tom Wylam, Frank Wylam, and Dennis Crombie, emulated the definition Jock, at that time.  Those boys could get any girl they wanted, and they had many.  When Dennis was 16, he ran a 26 mile marathon, his first, and not his only.  I remember his feet painful and bloody, but he endured that  excruciating run, and he finished!  My brother has succeeded at most of the things he has ever attempted, all of his life. No longer the cocky teenager, he has become a talented, loving , man, a true genius, in every sense of the word! I think he took after my Grampa even more than my Dad did. I am more than excited to be able to say, he beat this too, against the odds, he beat it, and all the Glory belongs to God.  Like Dennis said, ALOT of people were praying!!  I"m proud of you bro, and Im in total, absolute AWE of our God!!

A Message Worth Heeding

we all seem to be forgetting the point...man kind moans and belly aches about his misfortune, or the lack of possessions he has acquired thus far.  He torments his own mind with his unrealistic wants and desires and then he fabulously conjures up fantasy-land fairy-tales, and his make believe God rules, pretending it was God who created the worldly whims  of our souls putrid desires.  Give man kind his way, and he will have the whole world believing that God was created for man's own pleasure.  Humans incessantly demand our Heavenly Host cater to our fanciable whims which mount exponentially as the millenniums pass .  If our requests fall on what we perceive as deaf ears and our expectations continue to go un-realized,  a  tantrum  of epic proportions eventually ensues, in one form or another.  Depression, anger, bitterness, spite.  Every negative emotion is a reflection of what we don't have or how our God has failed us.  Immature, lack of spiritual growth; the new plague of the 21st century.  This new sickness didn't just arrive however, I believe it's been around since the dawn of man, and beyond..., since the creation of Satan.  As his powers grow ever weaker with the onset of Christs birth, he scrambles as his raging storm seeks to devour the souls of Gods people.  He wants us, anyway he can get us.  We, being made of only weak flesh, and being so loved by our Father, are his best target, and it seems he will gather more souls than God will, because Man is selfish, prideful, and loves sin more than he loves God.  Devastating as that fact is, it remains truth.  I see man kind in a whirling sea, as if plunging down the drain to Hell.  Millions of bodies sinking and swirling faster and faster, yet the ladder to life is in reach, and no one will grab hold.  To busy looking back, too busy comparing his life to his neighbors.  I see all around me, the acceptance of wrong. We have become so entrenched in the wickedness of this world that we can no longer decipher good from evil, or rather we choose to turn our backs on what we know is wrong. Popular quotes I have grown up with; " Live and let live",."  Look out for number one". " It's all about ME!" " If it feels good, do it!"  and my favorite," God wants me to do/have it, because He wants me to be happy". These are not of God.  These are of man, YET in the end, God prevails, not our rules. Gods!!  Bottom line...yes, many will perish in Hell, whether you choose to accept it or not. Makes no difference if you believe it or not, that is the end result.
It takes but a second to change your life.  It takes but a moment to concede.  It takes only a  prayer, genuine, from the heart, and God can turn your world upside down, and back to normal.  His normal!  His way!  Not everyone who reads this will understand, nor will they try to understand. Nor will they want to understand.  Some will haughtily ignore it, some will bitterly argue with it, some will ignorantly laugh at it,  But those of you who do understand, you are blessed.  It's a message worth heeding.

Look back and thank God.

Look forward and trust God.

Look around and serve God.

Look within and find God!"

God closes doors no man can open and
God opens doors no man can close.
After i finally realized that i had one god above THE ONLY TRUE GOD,  his name being Vijo, I had a wee shift of attitude. that realization rather sickens me to think about it, but there it is.  Undeniable, irrefutable and incontestable. For five long years I put a mere man above my God, and i pretended and justified that it was ok..  I, like many, chose to engulf my life with dreams, and selfish thoughts, eventually succumbing to the daily torture of weeping before God, and pleading  "why not?"  instead of submission to his decision, declaring  "Okay, I will obey."
I look around me, and at my world, and it saddens me what i see.  So many lost, so many searching, so many selfish, greedy souls.  These are basically people who do good.  They give, however they dont give more than is comfortable.  As long as it doesn't interfere with the kids college funds, or retirement, or the hoards of dollars spent on impressing our peers with material things.  It is disturbing to see so many striving for more and more. The world is sick, and the people in it are making it sicker.  It has become so much more important to be worldly minded, to set our sights on what never mattered and to close our eyes to what does.   So many are homeless, in need of rehabilitation, reformation, education, medical and mental health care, food, shelter etc.  the list goes on and on.  And individually we neglect those needy folks.  I was once of the mind that we all make our own bed, and we should lie in it, however I now have a more realistic stance.  Needy people dont have a clue as how to help themselves.  they wallow in their misery because they dont know how else to live, and unfortunately many are mentally incapable of reversing their circumstances.  If every so called Christian took on the responsibility of just one homeless person, or one sick person in need of medical care who could not afford insurance, or if one paid for the dental or mental needs of just one; or better still, if many took on the needs of one, we would see more love, less hatred, less bitterness, less crime, and the mortality rate would decrease.  A Godly world would be speaking volumes to an un-Godly world.  Maybe as Christians we could redeem our reputation.  However to be more concerned with ones reputation than the needs of  the downcast, is also abhorrent.
It's time to make big changes.  If one has the abiltiy and the means to help just one individual, then it is a Christian duty to do so.  Find a way.  And stop pouring your life into your futile gods.
One day in church does not give you salvation.  Praying for selfish needs, no matter how you justify it, does not pave a path to Heaven.
As for me, I shall put forth my energy and my effort to living a truly Godly life.  No more narcissistic behavior, such as the majority of our world lives.  It won't be easy, however I have what i need to succeed.  All things are possible through Christ.
